Mary Shelley
Mary Shelley was a very influential author in history. She is often referred to as the “mother” of science fiction. She wrote books like Frankenstein, Falkner, and Mathilda. Mary Shelley traveled to tons of different places. Shelley’s family did not educate her because her mother died before her education could be carried out. Her step mother did not support her education, Mary read on her own without encouragement. She didn't become very popular until after her death and now she is one of the biggest classical authors we know of.
Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (Book)
The book Frankenstein was one of the first science fiction books written. It has great characters that are very easy to relate to, and a great theme that can help you in life. Frankenstein can teach many lessons about controlling your anger, not messing with life, and letting go of grudges. I think people should read Frankenstein because they will enjoy it and learn things from the novel.
Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (Movie)
The movie Frankenstein is VERY close to the novel. Unlike other "books to movie" films Frankenstein stays true to the tale. Victor is made to seem more social in the film, which is one of the few differences in the film. The movie captures the horror in Mary Shelley's book, Frankenstein.
