The main character in my novel is Victor Frankenstein. He starts off as a positive, social boy who wants a good future. Victor was raised in Geneva, Switzerland with parents who were important to society. He eventually moved to college where he lost everything, and became obsessed with science. His personality starts to change for the worst, he stays indoors all the time working on projects and loses his social life. Victor's life slowly deteriorates and once he creates a monster he becomes ill from a mixture of shock and his depressing life. Once the monster starts killing Victor's family his personality changes even more, he becomes vengeful and obsessed with getting revenge on the monster. At the beginning of the story Victor runs away from the monster (his problems) and towards the end he starts to seek the monster out.
I would not like to be friends with Victor Frankenstein because he is mostly self deteriorating and runs away from his problems instead of trying to fix them. He becomes obsessed with things too easily thus making his life miserable. He also doesn't fit in with society because he is so awkward. He spends all of his time in morgues and indoors alone that he doesn't know how to handle life anymore.
My character has to make the decision to create or not create a female companion for the beast he has created. He chooses to stop half way through and demolish the girl monster and perhaps saves himself a lot of trouble. But because he does this the consequences are his wife gets killed by the beast. Everything Victor does has a major consequence on his life and it all leads back to the theme. Victors actions get him big consequences and the more he disregards the monster's feelings the more
